We love the leathers we use because just look beautiful with age after break-in. Leather is a natural material, there will be subtle variations in each item and they will wear over time. Therefore, all leather products require easy care from time to time. We recommend you use a high quality, alcohol-free leather cleaner or conditioner to maintain the leather of your Country Hide, or you may take your item to a leather specialist. We do offer cleaning and polishing; but not to re-dying, refurbishing, or similar services.

Please follow our tips on care and maintenance to enjoy the experience of using Country Hide for a longer time. Should repair become necessary, please bring your product to the store where it was purchased. We will be happy to offer you the required service accordingly. Kindly take note that repair service is only availabe in the country where you purchased. Leather Goods: 

  • Dampness and humidity can gather mold. Store your leather goods in a dry, cool place. Keep leather away from high heat.
  • Humidity may cause stains on your leather goods. Should your product become wet, wipe genty with a soft, dry cloth, then store in a place with good ventilation.
  • Leather goods should not be washed or cleansed with water, thinner or volatile agents. Water and perspiration may cause stains. Dry as soon as possible.
  • Color fading occurs even in high-grade leather goods. Note that the color on leather goods may be transferred to clothing on contact.
  • Avoid excessive stuffing or carrying excessive weight. This may cause deformation to your bag or damage to the accessories and metal parts.
  • If leather gets too wet: Dry it slowly. Speed drying leather will changes its chemical structure, and you end up with stiff crinkles. So room temperature with gentle air works better than than hair dryer.
  • If leather gets too dry: Rub something moist into it. Pick a leather dressing or cream, preferably recommended for leather.
  • If leather gets dirty: Just use a slight damped cloth. You don’t want to be putting any soaps or chemical detergents in there.
  • If storing leather for next season: Never wrap your leather products in plastic. Your leather needs to breathe in order to avoid any mildew growth, keep them ventilated.
  • If leather gets rain splash: Should your product get wet, remove any residual water immediately with a paper towel, pack loosely with paper and allow it to dry naturally.

Nylon & Cloth Goods:

  • Avoid using high temperature and storing near high heat.
  • Do not wash with water. Avoid use of thinners or volatile agents for cleansing.
  • White or light-colored cloth bags may discolor over time.
  • Cloth bags may fade or transfer color to clothing on contact. Color fading may occur on leather patches used as accessories.
  • Excessive stuffing or carrying excessive weight may caused damage to your bag, accessories and metal parts. 

PVC & Synthetic Leather Goods:

  • Materials do not withstand high heat. Avoid using near high temperature and storing near high heat. Store in a place with good ventilation
  • Do not wash with water. Avoid use of thinners or volatile agents for cleansing.
  • Due to the nature of used materials, cracking or pealing may occur on the surface over time.
  • Although rare, skin irritation may occur to those who allergic to PVC & artificial leather products.
  • Excessive stuffing or carrying excessive weight may caused damage to your bag, accessories and metal parts.Â
